Lemon Tuesday is currently an all ladies choir of about 18 singers. Set up by Lisa Roberts in February 2005, the choir has performed two concerts with a varied programme of popular and traditional songs. We have a resident painist - Chris Starkey and a Musical Director; Martin Smith. Martin became the Musical Director of the group later in 2005 and has taken the group to new heights following Lisa's excellent vocal training.

Mission

Lisa Roberts set up an adult singing class called "Fun Through Singing" in Febrary 2005, from which 'Lemon Tuesday' was born. The aim of all who joined is to have fun singing and with Lisa's vocal training, to sing well.The two concerts were both in aid of charity, the first on October 8th 2005, was in aid of The Peace Hopsice. This raised £1000. The second on December 4th, was a Christmas Concert which raised £900 for a local school to buy a new digital piano.
